A message from the Chairman

Welcome to the Department of Pediatrics at Bronx-Lebanon Hospital Center. Bronx-Lebanon has a long tradition of excellence  in Pediatrics. The department provides comprehensive pediatric care and support for the South-Bronx Community. Our department has 50 full-time faculty and an another 10 part-time faculty, highly recognized and experienced for their diagnosis, treatment and care of  diseases such as Diabetes, Behavioral & Developmental disorders,  Neurological diseases, Asthma as well as many other disorders. Our department highly encourages it's faculty and staff members to pursue diverse scholarly interests in an atmosphere of collaborative interaction, conducting research to better serve our community.

The Department of Pediatrics also has a long record of excellence in the education of pediatricians. Our Residency Program is fully accredited and focuses on providing residents with a comprehensive and diverse experience. Medical students rotate through the department of pediatrics to gain first-hand experience in a community-based hospital becoming exposed to pediatric emergency medicine, neonatal intensive care, acute care, hospital pediatrics and multiple clinics delivering primary and preventive pediatric care. Facilitating all of these services are a recently refurbished pediatric clinic and a completely new children's pavilion and pediatric ICU.

We, in the Department of Pediatrics, are proud to be a part of this dynamic medical  era focusing on primary care and serving our community with passion.
